Client files put £ and commas in a “number” column. TRY_CONVERT, then clean.
TRY_CONVERT(decimal(12,2), REPLACE(REPLACE(raw_amount, '£', ''), ',', ''))CONVERT on junk fails the batch. TRY_CONVERT returns NULL and you keep the rest of the rows.
